Make a donation to the Ludington cancer center

A cancer diagnosis is never anything we can “plan” for—this diagnosis does not discriminate, and it impacts every facet of one’s life. While many aspects of our lives have been put on pause during COVID-19, cancer does not pause. There are numerous appointments, and treatment often requires full days in the hospital for chemotherapy.

In 2011, Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital absorbed outpatient cancer services when the West Michigan Regional Cancer and Blood Center abruptly closed. These services were initially housed in the only open office space at the time—1,200 square feet that included one small infusion room for up to six patients and two exam rooms. Nine years later, this “temporary” cancer center remains. There is inadequate treatment space, diminished privacy, and crowded infusion space. While patients in our community are fortunate to have care that is close to home, and a compassionate clinical team, they deserve a more comfortable, private, modern and healing environment. Please join us on this journey.

Your gift will help us with future plans for a new, expanded cancer and infusion space at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
